On an Inglis Hi-Power with shoulder stock. Stock is marked SA LTD 1945. A member on another board is looking for a value. Haven't seen any photos but assuming that both the pistol and stock are correct and in let's say, good to G+ condition, what would be the fair market value? My gut says something south of $2k, maybe $1800 but that's just a guess.

I found a couple of posts/auctions as late as 2013 where they were running around $1,600 or so but nothing recent. This guy said the store has a price of $3,000 on the pistol and stock he's looking at. That just seems high to me but maybe not. Everything seems to have gone up over time. Also, as I understand it you can use an original stock on an original Hi-Power without having to go the SBR route. If you use a reproduction stock you have to get the stamp for an SBR. I that's the case does the original stock have to match the pistol (I believe they were serial matched but not 100% sure) or can it just be any original stock?

NO, The stock just has to be of "original design" .

#'s don't matter.

Thank you. That's what I figured. Does the same apply to Lugers and the C96?
