It is a good looking pistol, but at $3,000+ I would be afraid to shoot it!

I have a semi-custom 1911 and enjoy it. It was a bit of an extravagance but I am glad I bought it. I have a wilsom combat CQB it was $2500. When I compare it to a kimber or springfield loaded you can tell it was put together better. I wouldn't scoff at the idea of buying a premium 1911 but I would probably stick with Ed Brown, Wilson Combat, Nighthawk Custom, or Les Baer.

I have a dream of getting the time to join the Navy's Shooting Team. Then I can have a Navy armorer build a 1911 for me. I had a friend do this. The Armorer told him the parts to buy, cost about 10 years ago was $600. He delivered the parts and the Armorer assembled them at no cost to my friend as he was on the shooting team. He said the pistol could shoot much better than he could. The frame was also bought from the Navy and the serial number was USNXXX. If I remember right the number was less than 500. That is my dream 1911.
