Start pulling on those rings sticking out of the side (a stick would probably help) they should start peeling off.

or just use a blow torch, it's faster....

Take a pair of plier and grab a hold of one of the metal strips, and twist the pliers so the strip wraps around them as you twist it down the side of the can. Repeat as necessary.

If the strip breaks and you cant get a hold of it, use a hammer and a flat blade screwdriver, or a chisel.

Is that Czech 7.62x54?

If so, I did the pliers trick with the same ammo.

That can cannot be opened. Send it to me and I will dispose of it properly. :zwinker12:

LOL!

Hammer and chisel old style. Pretty cool exposing some silver tip.

Drool.

That is great ammo. They call it corrosive but I have never seen a speck of rust from that stuff.

O.S.O.K.

There you go! Yep if there's no lip around it, then a hammer and chisel or even a larger flat-head screwdriver are the way. The rings are for lifting not opening -obviously at this point...

That is great ammo BTW.

Those tabs are what you use to open the can. Like a zipper.

Yep, pull on the rings, they are designed to strip away and open the can. Opened many a case like that. I find standing on it and pulling up is easiest. Plyers or a large screw driver through the rings to act as a handle is also good. Czech light ball I'd make it to be from the photograph. Oh and those are corrosive primers, in fact some of the most corrosive ammo I've ever shot was Czech. Clean appropriately.
