Been a long time since I saw/heard their name. I bought my Persian 98/29 from them years ago when they were quite the bargain. I recall a lot of posts and discussions about the Swedish snipers they had but other than that I had almost forgotten about them as a company.

A lot of stuff for auction. Saw quite a few K31's, what looked like Spanish 1916 Mausers, some M1 carbines, Hakims, M-48 or some other type Mausers.some No1 MKIII Enfields, lots of parts.

Yeah, Yugo 59/66. I missed those the first time through the photos.

I can see why they went bankrupt.......they never sold anything. Huge inventory that could have been sold.

must have been asking too much for their stuff. one of the pics there is K98 mausers. In another there is boxes upon boxes of bayonets. Shame. But on a good note some other company will get it and sell it.

Looks like we won't be seeing their ad in Shotgun News any more. That is a ton of goodies in that warehouse.

Back in the early 2000s, when we were buying this stuff for pennies, Samco managed to ask more than any one else. I got ripped off on a repro bayonet for a jungle carbine. They charged me $65 for it. A couple years later the repros were selling for less than half that from other vendors.
Samco was always difficult to work with. Nasty telephone "customer service", had to keep calling them to get them to ship your purchase. Every time you called, it was like pulling teeth. I had had enough and never bothered buying from them again.
They're not that far from me.

I second that. Always rude the times i ordered from them. So i stopped. Its good, now, people may actually get to buy the stuff. Remember how they were always 1-2 hundred more for most rifles? Wanted 500 for walther p1' when everyone else wanted 300? That and the rudeness is why they are done. Could not have happened to better people. I could not stand the woman on the phone there.

I'd be surprised if someone like Numrich didn't try to by most everything in the auction.

Ah, never purchased anything from them. Didn't remember that unitl reading posts on this thread. The reason was ... too damned expensive compared to comperable products. They had a monopoly on the Persian Mausers and I did order 2 for one customer, but aside from that never bought anything from them as a dealer. In retrospect I wish I had gotten one of the top end Persians, it was a beautiful rifle.

SOB... Sad to see. I remember when the place I bought my first two rifles from in person, Federal Arms went bust. Sad stuff.

Chick on the phone was at a minimum, short and impatient sounding, and at a maximum, a total bitch. That alone justifies the market shutting them down. Rude and overpriced will only last so long.
