.40 S&W projectiles someone else made from 9mm brass and a cast bullet. The core is made from a LEE 125gr cast bullet, inserted upside down in the belled 9mm case. The swaging is done using a CH4D die that is modified by a guy that goes by BT Sniper over at Cast Bullets

Now, that is industrious. Looks like it holds good weight retention. I can just imagine the look on the forensic investigators face as they recover about 3 of those from a crack head

Definitely a creative solution to a possible shortage problem. Seems it might not work 100% though, given the variations in bore diameters between different guns and all. The ".40" bullets I use are about .41 diameter, and the .391 or .40 diameters shown in the pics might leave too much play here and there. Being brass might also add to that problem, since it likely would expand far less in the bore on firing than copper jacketed lead.

Those pics of expanded downrange bullets look pretty convincing though! Did the guy say where somebody might get equipment like that one?

Nicely done. Those really perform great! I bet they'd really shine in a 10mm.

You didn't mention but I'm assuming that the cast boolit is pure lead?

And you have a Corbin caneluer tool too huh?
