I was following up on a lead of a Colt 1911 that was reportedly for sale at an estate liquidation. The 1911 was not what I was looking for, but I stumbled on this Colt model 1903 that I picked up at a reasonable price. Serial number indicates it left the Colt factory in 1923. Appears to have been fired very little and has been maintained well for a 93 year old firearm.

While I have no place in my collection for a .32 this one would have been hard to pass up. Great condition!

Beautiful gun ! You must have already bought up all the M1 carbines in the area.

Wow. That is awesome! This is not your first estate sale score IIRC...

I don't know what you paid but if I had a chance to get that at a good price, I'd jump. Very cool.

I can't believe that gun was made in 1923! That is a beauty! All I ever find at estate sales are old, broken furniture.

Yeah, it's getting tougher to find the nicer USGI M1 carbines at anywhere near decent prices these days. The up side of this is I'm well positioned for retirement one of these days. :)

I have had a few past finds a estate sales, but my forte is gun show parking lots.

Wow, that is B. E. A. utiful! There's one of those in my late father's collection, but not as nice looking as yours. That's a real find, and a great peace of history.
