Those are technically stamped receiver AKMs, not milled receiver AK-47s...... ;)

Russia hasn't made the AKM in a long time. Those are probably AK-103 rifles, but who really cares about the nomenclature unless your asking specifically what model it is?

The AKM being handed to the president is probably a ceremonial rifle.

I was referring to the PIC. That's NOT an 103. The 103 has the same Gas block shape as the AK-74, has a muzzle brake and black polymer furniture.

With no other information, I'm going by what I actually see. And though Russia doesn't make AKMs currently, they do still have massive stockpiles of NOS (New Old Stock) that they can give away.

Now I want them to give those nice AK rifles to some loving, caring homes, right here in the U.S. :D
