if its reliable and the price isn't unreasonable, say north of $800 I would take a look at it.

The grip looks rather short....maybe two fingers wrapping around it. I wonder how it would act under recoil.... Could be interesting....

Its a hideout self defense piece for ccw use. Looks shouldn't have anything to do with it. 100% reliable function and minute of fist sized accuracy should.

Its .15" thinner than an XDs, but 4 oz heavier. Plus its going to be more expensive and have little aftermarket support. Also I think the barrel under the guide rod configuration is making the slide taller than it needs to be. Safety looks weird. No idea what type of trigger system it uses. Looks like a grip safety on the front of the grip where the middle finger goes.

An earlier review, http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2015/01/foghorn/heizer-introduces-semi-auto-45acp-handgun/, estimated the cost at around $700. I hope to see them a little cheaper.

Actually, having the barrel closer to the vertical center makes sense. There will be less torquing or twisting of the gun when fired as the barrel is not on the "edge" to kick back/up so much. I'll bet that the overall height from the bottom of the slide to the outside top isn't more than 1/8" more than a similarly sized compact .45 with a normal configuration.
