I picked this up Sunday at a show for $65, it's not my normal cup of tea but it seemed neat enough to break that rule. The conversion is old and probably was an early conversion of a Westinghouse back when they went for next to nothing. It's crude enough that I think a home smith did it but nice enough to show some quality in the guy's work. The stock is a cut down military stock with a grafted on nose cap along with a new top half of the butt stock (slightly lighter in color). The barrel was cut to 25 inches. I really liked the metal work on the bolt knob and the quarter rib the rear sight sets on. All the metal has a patina about it with almost all marks scrubbed (takes a magnifying glass to read the serial number). One good thing is the barrel is bright and shiny, when I first looked at it I thought it would probably be dark but it wasn't, atleast the owner cleaned it (if he fired it much). I think it will make a fun shooter if nothing else.
