Damn. He was one of the greats! I don't think I ever saw a movie of his I didn't like. He was the consummate comedian.

He seemed to be a class act, not your usual Hollywierd loon.

Young Frankenstein & Blazing Saddles are two pictures I probably laughed the loudest at in a movie theater. Animal House too, though Gene wasn't in that one. Hollywood made a lot of great films back in the 70's.
