Scored a Poly Legend for $1300, did I pay too much?
Rifle is nearly perfect. No Box, no accessories.
Congratulations !

One day I hope to own one myself .

She's clean! Funny, this is my second one. I just seen my first one for sale on GB. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=196199207

I sold it 10 years ago at a gunshow in Orlando. I recognized the serial number, the rubber butt pad, the muzzle brake, and the ding on the upper handguard! (For sale by a Florida dealer). I'm going to remove the original wood and put on a nice new Bulgarian blonde wood set.

Nice Legend!!!

Too bad that Bush the First had a fit over features of a rifle and not the person holding it because those Poly Techs were among the nicest of AK variants ever imported.

ENJOY!!!

WOW! Someone paid $2400 for it. I can see paying up to $1500, but $2400, that's too much!

As one of those "old farts" who was lucky enough to be around before George Bush the First had his evil feature fit, it blows my mind to see what those old Norincos and Poly Technology rifles are selling for. Fixed supply and the current demand for these beauties today are just the opposite of what it was when they first came out, were available and very few wanted one.

That reddish brown wood is my favorite version, enjoy your new prize!!!!

Range report-Chinese Legend no likey Wolf hollow points, will use Yugo ammo, or FMJ next time. Hollow points hung up every few shots. Front site blade was set too high, had to lower it.

That Yugo stuff is corrosive.
Don't forget to clean well right after...gas tube also.

Oh Yes, that Yugo is very corrosive, but is loaded hotter than Wolf, you can feel the difference! Cleaning is no problem, ammonia takes care of the corrosive salts.
I wish I still had all that good Chinese copper washed ammo, Chinese AK's love that stuff!

you do realize that the ammonia thing is an old wives tale ... just soapy water is all you need for the salt.

Actually you are correct that soapy water will flush out the corrosive salts, but my daughter who is a chemist once showed me the formula on how ammonia actually does work chemically to neutralize those salts.

That's why I use sudsy ammonia, you get the soap and ammonia in one.
See how shiney it makes your Poly-
