I miss the old gang. Been busy.
Just got back from a Maine black bear hunt and getting ready for the NY deer season.
What's new here??

Hi Bill, welcome back. C&R imports are pretty dead on the whole. Some Yugo SKS and M48 rifles are about the sum total in the market place most of the time. As HK hinted, LAGC and others have been booted. I saw your bear hunt photos over on FB.

I've pretty much hung on to my USGI stuff and still pick up an item every now and then . . . when the deal is right.

Work is slowly sucking the life out of me but the pay keeps going up so I keep hanging in there. Buying pistols, rifles and shotguns but nothing C&R in ages.

All i buy is pre '45 handguns now.


occasional new gun here/there but nothing major.

Ditto on depressing. IMO this goes for the entire web site. I never thought I'd see such low posting traffic and nothing new to post about it seems.

It's because of many factors. Mostly, either a lot of the old heads are gone or just don't post any more. With new gun inventories at an all time low, the same for ammo, it's hard to post about anything new, or shooting events with friends.

However, if a lot of the older members would start posting again, things just might pick up again.

(Plus, we lost a few of our resident leftists that managed to keep things pretty riled up around here at times with their idiotic posts [which were, at times, humorous as well as idiotic].)

If people don't post, things tend to die off....

Welcome back. I returned a few weeks ago to see what's up. It would be nice if more of us returned and got back to the sharing of info and bantering as before, but I'm afraid quite a few of our friends may have passed away.
