Thousands of sensitive assets belonging to U.S. Secret Service agents, including firearms, computer laptops, work badges, telephones and even motor vehicles, have been lost during the past 15 years, according to documents obtained by nonprofit government watchdog Judicial Watch.

“This is supposedly an elite law enforcement agency — how did all this equipment get stolen?” or lost. “This is alarming. Every American should be alarmed about this,” Judicial Watch’s Irene Garcia told The Daily Caller News Foundation.

Well, when you pay for hookers and sleep on the job, and let people get past security barriers, what do you expect?

I'd like to have a tricked out car. I'm sure some of them are plenty loaded with cool stuff.

I actually have a friend in the SS and my coworkers daughter served as a Marine with HMX-1 and you have no idea how much is involved in manpower and logistics every time POTUS leaves the WH. Imagine taking two or more of everything then do it all over the world. I'm not surprised that things are stolen or lost.

A great deal is asked of those individuals both military and civilian including giving their own life if required. This article and the actions of some are not representative of the agency as a whole.

I'm guessing most of this is in-house pilfering.

Actually, it's not that odd. Hitlery's State Dept. "lost" $600,000,000 during her tenure. No one seems to know where that went.

I could see losing a laptop or cell phone. But how do you lose a car?

I lost my car at the mall once. Good thing I have the panic button on the fob so I could find it!
