Double congrats!!!!

Don't know about you, but here in Indiana, you never own your home, even if the bank says it's paid off. Indiana counties have a very unhealthy desire to tax you to death, so with property taxes we are forever renting the American dream.

Congrats! Great anniversary gift! You will probably feel like a million bucks next month when you don't have to send that mortgage payment in.

You think we might be seeing some new toys down in the General Firearms Forum?

It is the same here but our county has the lowest property taxes in the state and it is 8,000 less a year in mortgage payments.

The fucked up thing is, at least for those who live in states with property taxes, if you don't keep paying the state for the property you already paid for, the state will sell it to someone else. At least the taxes should be less than a mortgage payment, but they never end.

Double congrats is right.
Hhmm? Not to give the wife any ideas but, after being in the same house for 27 years, she might be thinking it is time to either do some "rehabbing" OR to look for another house.

Be careful !! :gruebel: :firedevil:

Congrats! That's a double whammy! Long marriage and house paid off! Way to go. It's a sweet feeling to not pay that money every month! We'll never go into that kind of debt again.

Thanks 1 Pat and JT. But we have known this debt for so long and we will never try it again either.
We have enough area to expand into if we wish.
