I think its funny that you can store ammunition up to 10 years.....
I am still shooting ammo that was packed in the 60's, 70's and 80's without any problems. The writer has NO experience or even the slightest knowledge of surplus ammo.

I have ammo from the 50s that still shoots fine

I recall shooting .303 British & 8MM Mauser milsurp ammo back in the 80's which was manufactured in the 30's and still went "bang" every time.

I've shot ammo from 1915, went off fine. Just depends on how well it was stored and how good were the primers. In the last year I've shot ammo I loaded in 1976, some .357 magnum rounds. Not a dud in the 3 boxes I fired.
