I have only shot soft lead in a Ruger Vaquero .45 Colt. For me Ballistol and a Tornado brush worked more or less for lead removal. Lately I have been using the Missouri Bullets brand soft lead bullets coated with the Hi-tec epoxy coating. These are cheap low cost soft lead bullets that because of the coating do not lead forcing cones or barrels and do not leave lead traces on your hands when reloading.
