Does anyone know anything about a Ruger 10/22 with a 22" barrel? The only ones I've ever seen have had either a 16.5" barrel or a 20" barrel.
I picked one up the other day at a local gun store that was sitting on a rack with 2 other, shorter barreled 10/22's. This one is a typical Ruger configuration with wooden stock and stainless steel barrel. It measures 22" from the muzzle to the front of the receiver.
I checked Gallery of Guns and all they had listed were 16.5" or 20" guns.
Is this model still in production, or is it a current model that's just a little hard to find, as I've never seen any others with this length of barrel?

I believe that was a Walmart version. Seriously!

Might have been, but I didn't buy it at Walmart...maybe the original owner bought it there. It appears to be in like new condition.

Correct. I remember seeing a post about them years ago. Kinda of a long barrel for a .22 but if ones a 10/22 collector it would be a nice score.

So, I take it these are no longer in production?

It would be considered a 10/22 Sporter. Does it look like this? https://www.ruger.com/products/1022Sporter/specSheets/1149.html

Pretty sure they are not. Was looking around online and I believe there came out 10-12 years ago and don't seem to have been available all that long. Most of the posts I found on the various forums were from 2006 to 2010. Haven't had my coffee yet so my dates might be off.
