O.S.O.K.

I already posted some of this in the general firearms forum, but I thought I'd put this here too. I recently acquired a Henry .22 LR levergun. I've been wanting to snag one of these for quite a while as I didn't have a 22 lever and I kept seeing glowing reports of these little guns.
I had a Remingto 760 ship in (won on gunbroker) and so I went over to pick it up. There in the rack was the Henry - I fondled it and the price was right... that was it. It came home with me.
I took it out to the range today and it did very well. I did have a couple of failures to extract but both happened when I opened the lever very slowly. It never happened when I levered it briskly. In both cases, the empty case slid out easily.
It shot Federal ammo into 2" at 50 yards easily. And this was with the open sights. I am sure it would do much better with a scope attached - it has the rail and that would be easy to do...
I did have to set the rear sight all the way at the highest setting to get it to print to the sights at 50 yards...
As you can see, this is an NRA commemorative model - a "Friends of NRA limited xxx of 650 to be exact". But its a shooter -the gold color is about 1/2 off of the design work on the receiver but that is of no matter to me :)
Here it is with the 760:
