I remember when (a very long time ago) you could buy them from an ad in Shotgun News, but they were way out of my price range. They even sold C96's in .45 caliber.

Those days are long gone now.

I have several M1911 pistols and a 1913 Erfurt Arsenal Luger P-08. The Luger is fun to play with and it sometimes impresses people at the range, but I'll rather carry my "worn smooth from handling" 1920 Colt M1911 (not a 1911A).

She's 100 years old and still works flawlessly.
