Truthfully they don't even try and hide the bias over at MSNBC, unlike Fox there's not even a hint at any type of fair and balanced coverage. I bet if they start looking he's not the only one who contributed over there.

I wonder if this is the beginning of the purge now that Comcast is taking over?

They could use a purge.

“I did not privately or publicly encourage anyone else to donate to these campaigns, nor to any others in this election or any previous ones, nor have I previously donated to any political campaign at any level,”

MSNBC does "encourage" by publishing biased news.

Suspended means he'll be back at some point.

I think I'll save the celebrations for when they shovel dirt on him.

Maybe I'm being too optimistic; however perhaps his suspension is a warning to other liberals that dual standards are no longer acceptable?

The man chosen to replace Keith Olbermann during the host's suspension from MSNBC for unapproved political contributions has now been struck from the network's lineup, following disclosure that he, too, made political donations to Democrats.

MSNBC had chosen Chris Hayes, editor of the Nation, to host the network's prime-time political show "Countdown," the Wall Street Journal reports.

But Hayes also made a series of donations to Democrats, to former Alabama candidate for the U.S. House Josh Segall and former Illinois primary candidate Thomas Geoghegan.

Poster's Note: This story also states Olbermann will return to work on Tuesday. All of this really does speak to the character of those involved. Just my $0.02.

Not surprised he was reinstated. They look after their own. Also read somewhere that one of the people on MSNBC admitted to being a socialist, http://www.theblaze.com/stories/msnbcs-lawrence-odonnell-on-air-i-am-a-socialst/

The catch for MSNBC is whether their evening line up is news or commentary, Fox gets around all this by calling O'Reilly, Hanity, and the rest on after 8pm at night commentators not news people. MSNBC has tried to portray itself above Fox by pushing the news person line, news people aren't supposed to be biased, commentators are held to a lower standard. Oberjerk just got lowered to commentator status along with the rest of their lineup.

Please don't mistake me for LAGC in disguise but why suspend Oberinflated for campaign donations. Even my addled memory recalls some survey revealed a vast majority of media types donate to the Dems. Are they all to get canned now? I thought we could all donate to whomever we support. Union workers can donate twice. Once on their own and again when their dues are spent by the union. It's not like anyone is fooled into believing he is unbiased anyway. I would never go to him for facts when he can't even recall which Cornell he attended.

It's the company policy he works for. As I always told my sons, of all the reasons you can use to excuse wrong "because someone else did it" is the worse.
