$1331 these days seems like a normal price. Crazy isn't it? The long barrel RPM is not the most popular Egyptian, but in a few years this might seem a bargain. That is the sad thing about 2nd amendment infringements by import restrictions.

Really good one, don't remember the exact price and brain going into sleep mode making finding it a bear, but the other day I saw a Norinco 86S bullpup go for I believe over $5000!!!! Or was it $3000 but still YIKES!!!

I paid $450 for my Maadi RML Long barreled AK back in the 1990s. I still have the receipt for it. Just over 300% increase? IN almost 30 years? Not that bad considering I picked up an Colt AR 15 SP1 for $300 in the early 1980s and any COLT AR 15 is well over FOUR TIMES that now. I think what is surprising is that the Maadis of that time period were NOT the best quality. They were like the late MAK-90s or SKS rifles from Norinco. Last ditch lower quality guns. But they're still no longer imported so I suppose that's what drives the price.
