Nice gunshow buy, SAR3

Picked up a SAR3 (223) today at a local show for $290, it came with a ATI thumbhole stock, 2 pro mag 30 mags (I assume these suck), an after market tacticool sling and a 10 rd stock mag. I've already swapped out the thumbhole stock for a E German brown plastic set and added a brown leather Romanian sling which I like alot better.

At the show I also picked up a plum AK74 butt and lower front HG for $20 (no top HG) which I thought was pretty good, now to find a plum top hg.

Any one have experience with the Promag 223 AK mags?

Nope.

Last I heard one needed to dremel them on the inside to get the follower to ride higher in the magazine but they might have improved them since then.

Don't have any info on the mags. Have stuck with Wiegers from day one and never looked at others.

Damn that is a steal. And its a SAR 3 to boot. I know they take Bulgy 5.56 mags with a slight mod, but I stay as far the fuck away from ProMag shit as possible. They've got a rep almost as bad as CAI.

I sold them in the obama scare days...I've never got around to get more. I think I'll just put this one in the son's safe and let him worry about it, he's home in 9 months :)
