I have an original Model 39 and it is one of the most accurate rifles I own. Everyone who has shot it fell in love with it.

I would never get rid of this rifle as one this accurate can't be replaced.

I've had a modern 39AS but it doesn't compare to the 39. It's just not as easy to carry, shoot, or accurate as the 39.

Annie Oakley knew her guns.....

It was a "Golden" 39A that I lost in legal action because of a crooked cop over 30 years ago. It was my first rifle and I loved it as I had a 4x Weaver scope on it and it would hold (IIRC) 24 Shorts, 20 Longs, and 18 LR total. It had the half-cock safety with NO "transfer bar" system.
And, as Ali says, for a .22 rimfire, it was damned accurate.
