Well, I started this thread once. It disappeared since yesterday. Just wanted to ask, What cha got? My C&R stuff is pretty common.

Mosin Nagant 91/59
Chilean Mauser 1912
Spanish Mauser 1916 .308
Spanish FR-8 1956
Carl Gustaf Swedish Mauser 1921
Swiss K31
I recently sold an Israeli Mauser and a Romanian M44 Mosin for need of funds. (with tear in eye)

What I have is a fraction of what it once was but this is what I should still have:
M1 Garand, Winchester receiver
M1 Garand, H&R receiver
1903A3 Smith Carrona
1903 Rock Island Arsenal Springfield rifle.
K31 Schmidt Ruben
Vetterlis forgot the exact model but a Swiss rifle none the less. Probably an 1878/81 or an 1881 model.
1950s vintage Browning HP, a former Belgian Police pistol. Nice shooter.
WWII Model 11 Remington 12 Ga. with flaming bomb ordnance mark.
US Postal Meter with subcontracted Union Switch and Signal receiver M1 Carbine.

What's gone, 8 to 10 Mauser rifles, CZ52 pistol, and about 7 Mosin Nagant rifles of various models along with all the ammo for same. It was just too much to keep up with.

The oldest I have is an 1858 Ethan Allen .32 rimfire. The oldest I've had, that I shot is an 1863 S&W "baby russian" in .38. Is a 1955 S&W model 10 considered a "C&R"?

A few months ago, I picked up a mint Swiss 1911 Rifle. Shoots accurately at 225 yards, which is a far as I've tried it so far.

My "collection" hasn't changed much since starting this thread. I don't have the Argentine anymore....traded it for a near mint Charter Bulldog 44 and some cash I needed.
Sadly money going to my favorite hobby has been scarce......maybe the next election will bring a little prosperity back to the Vaughn home....but I'm not holding my breath.....or selling off ammo.

10 rifles...I think and 3 pistols. 2 shotguns, maybe. I have some ancient .22s that might qualify but I seldom use shotguns or .22s and don't study their values or definitions.

I don't deny their utility, I just don't utilize them much.

Colt New Service .455 ELEY, first date stamp on the barrel is 1884, second date stamp is 1900, third date stamp is 1905. It has the Birmingham Armory stamp BC5, which I was informed, by a member on another forum that....
"The proof mark dates from 1952. Thre was a mistake with the early 1952 marks. The 1950 was AB ( B for Birmingham) over a number which identified the person conducting the proof. 1951 was BB and when they cut the stamp die for 1953 they forgot which letter was the date letter. So early 1952 marks read BC instead of CB. It was corrected to CB after the first die wore out. So if your mark reads BC it was an early 1952 mark."
