How do I add text in a pic? Something like this one:

As long as it's in a format that Windows Paint can handle (.jpg, .jpeg, .bmp, .gif) you can do it in Paint, otherwise you need something like photoshop or paintshop pro.

What programs do you have acces to?

Here's a little resource for you to have fun with once you get rolling though:
http://www.dafont.com/

Free fonts! You can have a LOT of fun with the stuff on that sight, and it's all copywrite free.

MS Paint, photobucket if they have stuff like that and maybe an old copy of Photoshop if it will load.

Paint is the first thing I thought about too.
Almost every computer has it.

OK, I think I have the hang of it, I just to see what else is out there.:coffee:

That was done in photobucket (I keep forgetting about their editing crap). I've heard about layering pics in PS for different effects but I don't know how it's done (never fooled with it) or if it had to be done for text.

Thanks!:bigsmilebounce:

Gimp is free, and is quite powerful. It can be tricky to use though.

gimp is a little tricky. i usually use photoshop, but i found that gimp has all teh same commands and features for free, only theyre harder to find for me, only because theyre not where im used to with photoshop. if you learn on gimp, you should be golden.

and paint is another option too. you should be able to add text there, but i rarely use it since i have photoshop and gimp.

and heres another free font site i just got a link to yesterday, havent looked at it yet.

http://www.1001freefonts.com/decorative-fonts-2.php

theres another one, fontsquirrel, or something like that, but dafont is the best one, imo.

Don't forget Gimp.

Another use for Adobe, Gimp or similar is to re-size pictures from cameras with 10 or more megapixels for emailing; Adobe or Gimp can re-size them from over two meg to 200K.

I should note that I use IrfanView. Not too complicated & free of course.
