Also, now I'm jealous cause I live in northern IL and it's flat, featureless and infested with corn.
Nothing but corn.
If I'm taller than the corn I can see for twenty miles.
Farther if what I'm looking at is tall.

That kind of sounds more like the "vintage flying museum" which I found here.

The one I was trying for has a collection of photo's of different flights "Bern Heimos" has made over several states in an old Piper.
Towns and landscapes that are pretty interesting and close enough that if you live in the area you should be able to recognize them
