"It's an Israeli lower with hebrew markings, a DSA upper, and the parts were all refinished, the metal under the handguards powder coated and the stocks finished with linseed oil. It really is a beautiful rifle. The barrel is an Argentine barrel and that's a PWS 2 chamber comp (which doesn't create near the blast of the big 3 chamber bastard on the FAL). It loves DAG surplus and runs very well. "

Not sure the value, it has some great parts on it but is a FrankenFAL. Regardless, it is really a great looking rifle!

Oh, hope you don't mind that I added your photos to your post. That really is a nice rifle!

Who built it? That'll make a difference in price (IMO).

That;s the thing. The owner is not sure who built it. I have a ACOG that the seller wants and I value the sight at about $1,150 right now.

And thanks to imanaknut for posting the pics!

Boy putting a price on that is really difficult. I would check Gunbroker for any FALs like it and see what they are selling for, or at least what is being asked. I know a true Israeli version sells for over $1500, but yours doesn't have the long heavy barrel of a true Israeli.

DSA aren't cheap either, so a ball park of $1200 plus or minus would seem right.

After rereading you post about the owner wanting an ACOG that you have, if he wants to trade even, I would really think hard about taking that deal.

It's a nice rifle based on the pics but not knowing the builder of a FrankenFAL bothers me. Yeah, I know CAI FALs are a crapshoot and this probably wouldn't have any issues a CAI wouldn't have but that's my particular take on it. Call it a quirk if you will...

Since it's neither fish nor fowl (not a full Izzy, not a full DSA) and not a clone of any particular variant, I'd go no more than $900 OTD and that would be if I had a bad case of gottahaveitRFN-itis and it had to be THAT particular FAL.

Forget it. Someone offered cash for my ACOG and I'm gonna take it. I still want that FAL, though! Sexy gun. Anyways, thanks guys.
