Now let's see what his punishment is.

I predict he will get a stern letter now and win his next election with only 60% of the vote.

If he does get in trouble its because of all the racist tea partiers. And George Bush of course.

Same here. Any Republican would've resigned in disgrace shoved out by the party or kicked out of Congress. He'll get some "stern" rebukes and back to business as usual. Also us peons would be in jail after the IRS audit and prosecution.... Guess having power has it's perks like immunity to the laws we have to submit to.

"You people don't understand how serious censure is."

Statement by some speaker in the past. Don't recall the name, but people were PO'ed about a mis-behaving politician getting off so lightly.

A slap on the wrist, possible censure, if there is enough fuss raised, and business as usual.

I say nothing of any consequence will happen to him.

If he was a republican, he would be forced out in disgrace. As a democrat they will tell him never to do it again, and that would be it.

and now, he's going to be promoted.

The democrat majority will look stern and say...

It was all Bush's fault; Mr. Rangel will be a good boy now so all is forgiven.

Maybe a letter in Rangel's personnel file stating it was Bush's fault.

No wonder Black kids grow up to be gangstas, murderers, thieves. They see these "pillars" of the Black community who are suppose to be mentors to youth, getting away with breaking the law with little or no punishment.

All Blacks should be ashamed of this bastard, but they are not. They see him as a Black man in a position of authority whether he is honest or not. Doesn't matter to them.

The House better realize America, the same folks who said hello on November 2 are watching them.

Let them play their games and more democrats will get voted out in 2012.

That's the really scary thing- their leadership still doesn't seem to give a rat's ass.

He's getting a censure. Not sure what all it will entail but from what I've read he has to give up all committee chairmanships. Watched a streaming video on Fox and he was a total A-hole talking about how never blamed others and how the rules were there to guide members not punish them.

Censure and removal from office is what is being advised from council. He loses everything.

I hope they go with what legal council recommended.

Anytime a politician gets his ass handed to him is always a great thing!
There all the same and all practice the same illegal tactics.

they will slap his hand so hard, you might be able to here it, "might" !!!

Maybe the new national cause should address term limits. They say limit sare unconstitutional, yet the president and governors have term limits.. so why would congress and the senate be exempt?

the candidate i supported all think 2 terms is adequate and no huge pension for life.

Punishment?

Haha The only time dims are punished are when a sacreficial lamb is needed to prove that they, their party, the dims are 'ethical.'

As soon as the heat is off. It's back to business as usual.

So the Question is whether or not Rangel is expendable.

Surely there are plenty of other race baiting, socialist, shucksters to take his place.

Still, he has many friends in Congress. And I can see a light spanking and a stern lecture. Then it'llbe back to socialist business, as usual.
