You can't get a 110 at Walmart for $30 and here's the kicker, it's got a 154CM blade. From what I've learned this is a buildout using old stock blades that Buck made for someone and either were never used or something. Buck makes a CPM154 bladed 110 for Cabelas but AFAIK they have never offered a 110 in 154CM (two different steels).

Anyway for $30 (free shipping on orders over $50) it's a hell of a deal. I believe only 190, for sure less than 200 were made for this buildout so this could be considered an instant collectible and 154CM is a great steel. I ordered one last night, should have ordered half a dozen but we just heard today from Buck that it wasn't a misprint and that that it is 154CM. My wife will shit a brick but I might order a few more if there are any left when I get home.

I have a folding hunter. I got it as a safety award a while back. One of the sharpest knives I have ever owned. Good deal!

Damn I miss the edit function.

Wanted to correct my first post. The 110 Buck makes for Cabelas has a black coated S30v blade, part of their Alaskan Guide series. Buck makes the 110 with CPM154 for Bass Pro Shops.

Thanks for making me spend more money Richard.

You're welcome!!

From what I'm reading on the Buck Forum these blades might have been made up in 2009 but no one knows yet what for? According to Buck they will be stamped with the BOS heat treat logo and 154CM. For those of you unfamiliar with his work Paul Bos, who just retired from Buck was the king of heat treating particularly with regards to S30v steel.

Received my order today and I'm jazzed! Looks great, locks up tight with no blade play, blade is centered and and shaving sharp out of the box. Even without the 154CM steel this would be a bargain at $30. Will try and post some pics later this week.

The entire run sold out in a few days so I guess they took down the "Tech Specs" tab.

If you look at the latest Web Specials in the link below, it's no longer even listed.
