I started reading the article, already questioning it about it calling the rifle an "AK-47". There was only one Russian rifle with the name "AK-47" on it and it was the one that Mr. Kalashnikov took to the Soviet military in 1947 for approval. It was marked "AK-47 No 1". It was turned down and he was told to make a few changes, which he did and it was accepted and put into production in 1949.

Sorry, but with the first part of the "Buyer's Guide" stating that it went into production in 1947 being wrong, or thinking about it, like everything else these days, just rewriting history, I couldn't go on.

And the funny thing about "AK-47", the name our wonderful media gave it, even Mr. Kalashnikov was quoted calling it that, knowing himself that in the Soviet military it was just known as a "Kalashnikov". But I guess that if men can be women and vise-versa, the AK of 1949 can be called an AK-47.
