Why did it take so long to come up with this idea? I'd try it to see how it tasted, and if I liked it, I'd be sold.

This could be a great idea for survivalists, too.

Might be good survival food depending on shelf-life, but it looks disgusting.

I wonder what you have to do to bread to make it last in a can for years?

I thought there was some kind of investor scam related to the product? Yep!

Here it is: http://www.npr.org/blogs/money/2010/07/08/128380385/sandwich-in-a-can

That's something I would love to try. I wonder what the bun is like after being canned...soggy?

Surely the can has to have the bread wrapped separately in there from the meat/jelly/BBQ else the bread would get soggy?

Nothing worse than a soggy bun unless she...........er...... it's a sloppy Joe. Wait!! That's doesn't sound right either.

have we really devolved as a society so much that we need to can Peanut butter & Jelly sandwiches? it seems like an awful amount of effort put into something a 4 year old can make.

besides, if you guys want to see something really bizzare out of a can I'll make a post about the Polish "Minced luncheon loaf" I found at the local russian store.

I can't think of a reason why I'd ever want to eat one of those... I agree 100% with Raxar on the need.

I've had castleberry sloppy joe out of a pouch which was pretty good. I also have around half a dozen cans of Viette beef and pork BBQ, they're alright but taste a little burnt

Well I have made bread in a coffee can but I think I lost the recipe about a hundred years ago, It was a camping thing to do with the scouts. Somehow I think that was better than this.

I've tried both Castleberry items..once.
Really not what I'd eat on a regular basis.

But, in a bug out situation, taking the time to make a PB&J sandwich would be too time consuming even for a grown up to prepare. PB&J in a can and other canned products would be stowed and ready to go just for this situation.

While it sounds a bit on the unbelievable side, if it were a real product, I would be up to try it

I have several cans of Sweet Sue's version of this. Figured it for chicken and dumplings... or soup or chicken casarole or somethin. Not to eat like a roasted chicken or anything.... basically just canned chicken...
