Really isn't a bad idea. Lexan is polycarbonate. Super tough plastic. A 1/2 inch thick piece of Lexan will STOP a 7.62x39 FMJ round fired from only a few feet away. The plastic looks pretty bad after being hit, but the bullet does not go through.
