Alex will be in charge while I am gone.

My son and I along with couple other buds heading south to do some Deep Sea fishing as the shrimp boats started this week dragging on the bottom in deep water. 180 - 200 feet.

I have TUNA on my mind .... yellow fin and the small black fin. Have my rigs are back from getting cleaned and have new line and top shot put on them. Boat is filled up all 520 gallons of diesel, we only had to put in 198 gallons this time, lol thank god.

Had Gill filled up the fresh water tanks and everything is ready for us. All engines ran for couple of hours for the last three days. Live bait tanks are going as we are stopping by to for some large piggy perch and sand croakers. Pick up the frozen ribbon fish that we caught back in March and frozen squid.

We are going to have a blast.....

Will be back by Saturday.

Wish I was going... all the 4/0 to 14/0 Senators, Internationals, Fin-nors and Okumas have been out of use since I sold the off shore boat...

My son and I came back very tired and exhausted by we were rewarded with a bountiful amount of fish.

3 Amberjacks (21lbs, 34lbs, 30lbs.)
2 Grouper (13lbs. 25lbs.)
8 Red Snapper (9 to 10 lb avg.)
1 Wahoo (46lbs.)
2 Ling (33lbs, 54lbs.)
14 Kingfish (Gave those away, yuck)
3 Black Fin Tuna (27, 33, 32 lbs.)
2 Yellowfin Tuna (123lbs. & 147lbs.)

We are having Tuna steaks tonight as well as about 1/2 lb of raw tuna yum yum with some wasabi, soy and ginger. ;)

The wahoo almost spooled me as the deck hand did not put my lever on my reel up to strike, thank god for clickers.
I had to carefully push my lever past strike until the drag started to work the fish . She took 4 passes at us, had to be cruising at 30 to 50 mph each time.
She was AWESOME as my arm and hand lost feeling a few times and got hand cramps for the last 20 minutes. Took a good 46 minutes to land her.
The tuna did not even take that long, lol.

Yes ... We are 3/4 empty.

Going to eat most of the fish before November as I have a 4 day trip for TUNA only in November.
