Looks like it would be a cool place to go visit.

I noticed that the general architecture of the buildings are much more modern and that there isn't a lot of the old style designs indicating that the city was rebuilt or is newer.

City originated in 1897. But, you are correct, most of it is new. It boomed in the seventies/eighies.

Good question. Hard to tell without seeing the tail. Kind of looks like a MIG-3...or could be a LAGG-3...:think2:
