Add to that list, "The Beast of War"(1988). The movie I'm referring to is about a Russian tank crew commander who committed atrocities in Afganistan and the "pay back" he and his crew got. It didn't so well at the box office, but it is one hell of a good movie. I'd reccommend seeing it, at least, once.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094716/

"Best of the Best" (1989), with Eric Roberts and James Earl Jones, was a great martial arts movie.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096913/

"Bloodsport" (1986).

Hey, you can't knock a movie that has a character who loves firearms and explosives and who has an impressive gun room in the basement of his bunker-style home! :shootski::machinegun::violent068::bigun2::vinsent ::big-gun::mgwhore::wildshooter::ashooteremoyt7:

"Broke into the wrong God damn rec room, didn't you, you bastard!"

Hollyweird neutered Sum of All Fears though- the original book villians were all ME Muslims aided by an East German scientist and a Native American sepratist. They used Nazis because you know, Muslims wouldn't ever mass murder Americans :wow:

It's page 2 and nobody has mentioned Rambo?

What about the scene between Trouttman and the Russian General? "Who do think this man is, God?" "No, God would have mercy. He won't"

I try not to watch movies about Yugoslavia.

Yugoslavia is fodder for some great modern war movies because of the Bosnian conflict.

"The Savior" with Dennis Quaid had some scenes that were hard to watch.

Another film about the fighting in Yugoslavia which is kind of a sleeper is "Harrison's Flowers," about a wife who goes to find her missing journalist husband in the middle of all the fighting in Bosnia. Lots of graphic scenes in that movie, too.

Did anybody mention Casino Royale? The one that was made recently with Daniel Craig as 007, not the 1967 release with Peter Sellers.
