I'm new to the forum and just bought a WASR AK. It's been fired for function and seems to operate OK. It does shoot 2" left at 50 yds. The front sight pin sits to the left of center in the sight "tower". The sight "tower" is centered on top of the barrel. How do I move the sight pin? It's stuck bigtime. Thanks in advance.

Welcome!

Do you have a brass punch and hammer?Did the rifle come with a sight tool?

Get one of these, or use a plastic mallet and a brass punch.

The tool supplied adjusts only the front post. I tried devising a tool you suggested using a 6" "C" clamp. It wouldn't budge. Would a gunsmith have such a tool rather then me buying one?

Now that people are answering your question I will say welcome. I didn't want to jump in since I have no useful information to provide.

a c-clamp will not work because it dosent have a hole for the barrel to go into. either drill out your c-clamp, or get the tool.

and follow the link in the post with the pic, the tool is $8, a gunsmith wont let you in his door for that much.

If you have an old pipe flaring tool just grind the point a little slide over post and turn.

I think they have a spotty reputation.

You should order from AIM surplus, they are a great business and a sight sponsor. http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=XUTGSCPWEA05&name=UTG+AK%2fSKS+Front+Sight+Adjustment+Tool&groupid=64

If your sight post is already left of center and the weapon shoots left it's not a good sign. Windage with a front sight works opposite of the rear sight. If the bullets hit left of aim you have to push the front sight toward the left to move the bore to the right so the bullets move right.

If it turns out to be too extreme left so that the post is nearlly touching the insde of the protective wing of the sight base your only recourse would be to get the pins out, rotate the tower left and then drill and put in bigger pins to index the sight tower so that you can get the front pin more centered.
