good stuff slamfire! glad you got some too. it never really quit snowing here for the past couple of days. just that kind of little constant flurry action with no significant accumulation.

it better not be 60 degrees here in a week. it friggin winter for pete's sake!

Yep, the East coast is getting hit hard today.

As of 1100 hrs., Sunday, we have about 5-6 inches already and it's preditcted to go as high as 12+ inches before it's over. We had 10 inches last winter (usually, our area just gets about 2-3 inches max. and many times, no snow at all in winter), so this is pretty unusual for us (Eastern MD). Snow emergency in effect and no one is going anywhere right now. I guess I'll spend the day cleaning inside the house...whoop. It's probably a good time to clean some guns, too.

That's what I'm doing.
Plus getting ready to watch the Titans get whipped today by the KC Chiefs. :(

Storm passed through western NC yesterday and early this morning; depending on where I measured there is between 8 to 10 inches.

Temperature hasn't gone over 25 degrees all day and there were strong winds also.

Just went out (1748 hrs.) and cleaned cars off again and we now have 11 inches on the ground and it's still coming down. It's not supposed to stop until sometime tomorrow. Needless to say, nothing is moving around here.

It must be nice for fucking snow to be a NOVELTY.

Try living in Western New York... where a warm sunny day is a novelty. :swear:

COOL!

Weird weather here.
Was sunny all day on Christmas, then all of the sudden the rain moved in, then it was snow by 6pm..
Then this morning on the way to church, it was all pretty much gone except in patches.

Was nice to have some quiet time sitting in front of the fire watching the snow fall last night though...

We just had our first white Christmas in like 50 years. I've got just over 14 inches outside right now. The meteorologist said this is the biggest snowstorm since February 89. Some spots got over 18 inches.

I grew up in Nashville, never remember actually seeing a white Christmas when I was growing up. I had already moved on to Graduate school for the last one...

This morning the wind was averaging 18.9 with gusts between 30 and 35 MPH. The temperature is 18.1.

Falling branches at night means dogs will bark and growl.

Storm is over now and we got a total of 13 inches. Some places, close by, got as much as 18 inches. Now to dig out. Oh, boy.
