I've got the Becker BK2 Campanion and it's a great knife. The BK7 and BK9 are both on my short list as well as the new BK5 "magnum camp knife". If you want a super rugged knife that won't let you down then any of the Becker line would be a great choice.

The only complaint I have with my BK2 is that the scales can get a little slick but they are vary hand filling and by design won't slip out of your hand. Still considering using a soldering iron on mine to give it a stiple finish or perhaps getting a pair of the micarta scales.

Don't know about that specific one, but the original Ka-Bar was the first thing I bought when I turned 18. I love it. I wouldn't hesitate to buy any other Ka-bar knife.
