i know it's just me but a AK with a reverse grip up front just does not look right

I like the forward slant on my fore-grips. My ARs all have the perpendicular set and I prefer the control the forward angle gives me while moving from target to target. Line up about six targets, 50 meters or more, and ten feet apart, and try to hit in the black (at least) on all six. You 'll agree, function over form. When I find a custom AR builder who will put a 10 degree forward grip on my ARs, I change every one. I guess that why my AKs that have the forward slanted grip out number my ARs. Great looking Semis.

AMD-65 base with a "few" mods. Basically it's the Heinz57 of AK's as parts were scrounged from everywhere.

These all started life as AMD-65's
The pistol was first back before the Great Mistake (the Obamanation of America) the Underfolder about 1.5 years ago and the side-folder about a month ago and the straight stock last week. Still have to put a finish on the receivers ... a friend is getting set up to parkerize, hopefully in the next week or two, otherwise I'll do the duracoat thing.

I picked up a Hungarian AMD65 with the flame thrower muzzle device. lol.

What was interesting is the shop had two kinds. ;) Century builds and a FEG build using an FEG receiver.

I have to say, after owning and shooting Chinese, Romanian, and other AKs, The AMD-65 out shot all the others. The battlefield pick-up pictured above was an exceptional shooter, and more accurate than the rest.
I love everything about them, except the folder. The vodka must have been flowing like a river when that folder was designed.

I do know that the top one has become my favorite shooter, and usually sports a 100 round drum under it. Light weight rifle, heavy drum equals ton of fun!!!!!

Top one is a Gordon Tech build, the lower is a Vector build. I did sell one a while back, but honestly can't remember who built it! Either getting old sucks, or having too many toys and not enough brain cells keeps me from remembering.

That's done to allow clearance for the mag when it's rocked in and taken out. It's easy to get used to. I didn't like mine, at first, but handling it makes it feel more natural.
