Happy New Year.

You too, my friend. I am pretty sure that most people looking at it on Jan 14th would think that we are a little late:)

Yep. The Orthodox church never switched to the new Georgian calendar and stayed on the Julian calendar. Now because of that we can celebrate Christmas twice and the New Year twice:)

The AKPEN and Aleutians are strong Russian Orthodox country. We get to shoot guns and fireworks on both New Years celebrations. :D

That sounds like a place that I would love to visit someday.

Thought I'd bump this to the top. It's that time of year again and I realize I'm an hour or more late in most time zones, but there's still a half-hour left in the day here.

So........

Merry Christmas. Proz Nikkum. (I know I probably butchered it)

And on the 14th of January, Happy New Year:) Even though its not an official holiday, everyone can use another excuse for a party:)

Happy New Year.

Just celebrated with a bonfire, fireworks, guns, moose dogs and homemade ice cream.
