Now I have to spend the next two-three days cleaning it up.
Any one needs fire wood?

Damn. Good thing that didn't hit your house.
Some of it did, the main trunk hit the side deck and a pine tree that broke and hit the rear deck and house also.

What make it funny is that the birds are mad at me (like i did it) and started to crap on my car. I'm gonna throw chicken bone at them tomorrow.

Well that sucks.
Looks like an Oak I had a huge Walnut come down a few years ago. I tried to find some taker's for it but just wound up cutting it up myself.
I even tried to get Springfield interested in it but they only deal in bulk I guess. Thought it would be nice to have a stock made out of it, they could keep the rest for free.
Have fun with the chain saw

I have 3 giant pines in front of my house. I'm just waiting for one of them to come crashing through my roof. At least my old lady will get the new kitchen she keeps complaining about...

Sorry for the loss, but I don't get the stupid part. Nature is what it is, that being said, I removed all trees that could hit my house years ago.
Cut it up and put the firewood up for sale, hell people want 80$ for a half a cord around here. Hope it goes well for your endeavor.

Always remember to consider yourself lucky because it could have easily been worse.

Last winter a limb came down in an ice storm and hit my vehicle. It busted a window and totally trashed a door. The lucky part is the limb was big enough to have totaled it.

Well, it's all chopped up. I also took the other pine that broke down.
The front part of the deck is now complete. I'll finish the deck and clean the yard over the weekend.

Yeah, a bit more. The two trees that hit the house are all chopped up and set into a pile for selling, burning, etc.
Since I work in one state and live in another (NY to PA) I won't ba able to restore the deck until Sunday.

Since you're the expert, I do have 30+ other trees that need to come down.
Would you like to help?

Sorry to hear about the deck, but nice yard!

Yeah, one lot I'm gonna clean out and the other 2 I'm gonna leave wooded for now.

Here's a photo of Monday morning after a few hours work:

I hear you, you don’t want those monsters anywhere near the house.
I have a property with a mess of black walnut trees on it. when they come down they are flat devastating. They are good looking trees but a real PITA to maintain. I’ve got them cut back so when they do loose a limb it misses the structures but they are so tall I had to get some serious equipment in there to do it. If I didn’t need them to keep the appearances up on the place, I would have just taken them out.

If you get any volunteers; send a couple my way..

I've cleaned up after a couple of ice storms. Except for my car this one wasn't real bad. In 2005 my yard looked as if they filmed the battle scene from Braveheart here.

You can have all the wood you can carry home if you come and clean up the mess here! It's all Oak and Hickory.:D
