Hopefully the House won't let any such Bills make it to the Senate.

COMING SOON!

Unfortunately, not soon enough!

$129 for the 60 round mag and $179 for the 100 round mag. Cheaper than a Beta-C, SF's more ergonomic for shooting too, that is unless trying to shoot prone.

I would like to say from the historical perspective of the 86 bans, I believe the more gun owners themselves talked up the ban the more likely it was to come about. It doesn't do us any good to keep talking about a ban as if it's a sure thing coming. We need to adopt the mindset of not allowing any bans over we got to get these before the ban comes...

I agree.

Besides, the more rumors get stirred up the higher the prices will go regardless of what laws are passed.

I don't see the House passing any bills that restrict our 2nd amendment rights within the next two years. Hell, they didn't even try it under Pelosi, I definitely can't see it happening under Boehner. All the talk of the crappy bill that McCarthy is trying is only fueling panic, driving up prices. Doesn't that bitch purpose the same bill year after year since the AWB sunseted? The time to panic is if the bill actually reaches the floor, which I suspect won't happen any time soon.

The 100s are far too big for my liking, but the 60s seem managable.

I third that.
I don't know how many DF's at tables at gunshows did the "they're banned" or "get them before they're banned" bovine fecal matter.

The russos discovered the wonders of truly 'high cap" mags when they were on the end of all those ambushes. Gotta go, wife is now building something I started....

Looks like they took a lesson from Sites and started building quad stack mags (though I know the russians had some for the ak at one point too).

Exactly what I think. You can't go prone with that 100 unless you tip the weapon 45° to the side. The 60 is the length of a 30 it looks, now that wouldn't be so bad to have 2x the capacity in the same length.

Looks cool but since I don't own an AR I won't be buying. I don't think I would got with a 100 rounder if I did though. I looks to be a bit to big especially when prone. The 60 rounder though looks like it holds real promis.

+1 on the 60s. I might even be able to trim out the divider in my "2" magazine pouches (2 with a shoe horn) on my web gear and carry a couple.

Funny that they made them out of aluminum though- Surefire has their own recipe for high strength polymer.

And dont forget that SureFire also has their "Beta C Mag 100 round drum" clone available too for $137.99.... half price of a genuine Beta C.

Something to think about is a lot of people favor the carbine for it's small size, maneuverability. Now folks are going to not only lengthen their bottom, but also create issues for carrying these.

I could see these for some instances tho--like your inserted mag in a fixed position. Better yet is the pic on Mark's post above.

I wonder how these will work with the 300 BLK.

I really like the 60 rd mags, just not the price tag! One or two of them would be fun though!
