I have a Norinco SKS with a side mount for a scope.Does anyone know what it is?The pic is not mine but it is the same scope mount.

I've seen SKS with SVD scope mounts before. Alot of times Russian optics will be sold SVD/SKS so I would bet its an SVD scope. Not unless the Chinese communists or Bubba came up with something wierd.

I'm not sure this will even fit an SVD mount.I know it does not fit a standard ak side mount.

I read that my sks is that model.Mine is a full length barrel and bayonet.

I thought the "Cowboy's Companions" (and other similar nicknames) models were all paratrooper length.
Mine was.

pastfinder had a great link and if you are looking for optics you might want to checkout kalinka.com they have lots of different mounts (fyi I have never ordered anything from them).
