I picked this up around 2007 as one of my first kits from Texas Knifemakers Supply. I managed to cut the scales wrong on the first attempt (too small) and put it away. A couple of years ago I asked for advice on one of the knife forums regarding salvaging the scales rather than throwing them away. Someone suggested a spacer (duh, why didn't I think of that?). I remembered I had some Axis Deer antler and started thinking. I figured it would look better as a bolster than as a spacer.
