Found a nice used Ontario OKC-3S Marine bayonet at an online ad site. An 18 YO kid wanted 60 bucks for it. The blade had a few flat spots and the sides looked like somebody had used it to chop tree branches or something. After taking a fine file to the edge, diamond honing it and using cleaning towels to get the plant resin off, it looks pretty good. The least I've seen them go for new and on sale is about 120 bucks. Most are between 130 & 140. I like that it's carbon steel and not stainlness. Kinda like a modernized Kabar for the M16/AR.

My son in the Army says they don't even issue them bayos now. Anybody know if it's the same with the Marines?

I have no idea, I thought they were still issiuing them but they had cut down the amount of bayonet training they did in basic, at least in the army.
