some folks think that because they live in the country theyll be safe(r) than the city. Heres an example of what might happen. And hes a gun owner with 75 guns to choose from.

In shtf anyone who figures they are safe because they have "guns" or are prepared are only fooling themselves.

Recently divorced, my bet is his X hired these punks to go beat his ass and taking the weapons was just payment for them to do the roughing up.

Well that sucks. I have said it before though, having a gun doesn't make you god.

Yeah, he had 75 weapons, but what good are they if all of them are locked & unloaded in a safe?

Besides from a couple of friends, I never talk guns..... my neighbors don't even know yet, let them find out the hard way!

Agree, and same with.me in that my neighbors have no clue.

This story was too much of a inside job.
Most likely, they had the key & they knew the combo to the safe.

They knew how to get in the knew how to get into the safe they knew to take the best guns, you catch them I bet you find a direct connection to the ex. Another reason to have loaded guns out and available and dogs, not dog. This could have happened as easily in the city in an apartment building, the location had little to do with this.

In regards to SHTF...something that dawned on me a while ago is the best thing to bring to the end of the world is a lot of friends. One person can't stand watch all the time. A lot of people can easily stand watch 24/7 365. When it goes down you want to have a weapon, food, water, gear, etc, but having other people with you is going to ultimately be a major factor in long term survival.
