The size of the list and the quantities is daunting. It takes a good sized storage area to hold that amount and then, it needs to be cool and dry. And that's for one person.

That is my problem. I would store more food if I had the room. since I don't I will just have to manage with the space that I have.

After I did the "math" I realized it isn't easily possible to stockpile a "few" years for two people.

I guess shtf either needs a time limit or you run out of food. For the "I'll eat meat" crowd look up scurvy.
