I thought it was a good deal. $775 for the STAG, after two PMAGS and taxes, that was the rest. There is an AK47 that I want from the same dude. When I get the info on it, I'll post up.

That seems like a decent price.

Definitely a great price. Only way to get it cheaper would be to build it yourself.

this is the AK that I am going to buy from the same guy. What do you'all think?

Lots of people have those and like them. They are heavier than a regular AKM, the barrel is not chromed lined but I've heard its extra accurate.

Very Nice,

I'd also suggest that when your budget allows you pick up a couple spare extractors and a spare spring kit... DPMS makes a nice spring kit for about $40-50 bucks I think, and I also think a spare extractor is about $30 bucks.

With DPMS, I'm sure Bushmaster is the same way... there's such a demand for AR's that if you even order a specific upper the way you want it, you can expect a 3-6 month wait! It took me 8 months to get a new railed .308 upper from DPMS. Often times, they're back ordered on spring kits and such...

My point is, that you don't have to pay for it now if they're back ordered, but you might want to place an order online now and be billed later when it comes in stock...

good thinking! there is a gun show coming up, I'm going to buy a few add-ons. If they have those parts I'll pick 'em up also.

Looks good. I don't really care for the mono-pod thing but thats just personal taste.

What scope are you using?

Thats a good price on a good AR there man :)

Ive got a Stag 16'' upper on my built lower, and I love it. Accurate and solid. Next AR purchase I make will probably be from them, but I think the next one will be a 20".

I've got a Stag upper- the bolt broke in battery. Stag sent me a new bolt no questions asked. It runs like a top now.

It was a good learning experience though, you can carry a spare bolt with you but you can't get the broken one cleaned out in any kind of time that it will be useful in combat. I had to hook the charging handle on my car wheel and lean back to get it freed. I bent the charging handle too but considered that my fault.

Nice start. Stag makes a decent rifle for the price.
Next, build one. It teaches you the workings of the AR. If you have a problem, you have a better idea where to look.
