Problem Parkerizing today. Input requested.

So I put together a Romy G last week. Yesterday I bead blasted it all down and tossed it into the park tank. Using brownells park solution with distilled water. I went through my normal routine.

blast
soak in degreaser
into hot water bath
into park tank for about 10 minutes - get's a nice dark color.
into cold water tank
oil down to neutralize the park salts with 30 weight motor oil.

So I did this yesterday and left everything oiled up over night (normal procedure for me) and when I went out today everything was rusted. It even rusted UNDER a thick layer of oil. I've never had this problem and never heard of it. Do any of our resident experts have any idea what could have happened?

When you soaked it in the oil, did you have a grate in the bottom of the tank? If not, the water will accumulate on the bottom and rust whatever is not suspended above it.
