Just received this from Centerfire. I'm tempted by deals like this, but never quite sure about the ammo quality. The price is comparable with the value packs from WalMart, but even there I try to only buy Federal or possibly Winchester if I'm desperate. I had such a bad experience with Remington I avoid it like the plague. I'd hate to buy 5000 rds & then find out it won't cycle in my .22's or chock full of duds.

I figure why pop for $250 when I can buy known quality Winchester and Federal (I agree with you about Remington) for the same price every day.

The whole idea in buying bulk is to get a better price no?

I estimate the savings would come from not paying sales tax, not that its a lot. Perhaps $10 per case once shipping is subtracted. That's where I start thinking the savings aren't worth the risk.

Yeah, besides, I already have 10K plus .22LR rounds stored up -that's a lot of dead squirrels :D

you could goto walmart and get 5000 rounds of federal lightning for $160 or so OTD
